Blog Entry #5.9B - Evaluation

Name of PSA: Bristol Palin On Abstinence

Target audience: Teens who are becoming sexually active or already are.

Tagline:Pause Before You Play

Message: You should think about your background and be prepared

Sound used:nursery rhymes, a baby crying, cameras flashing, a girl talking, people cheering, and political noise

Visual imagery used: pictures shown variously, a room that is empty and small

Text used: what if I didn't come from a famous family, what if I didn't have other support, what if I didn't have all these opportunities, believe me, it wouldn't be pretty

How did you feel when viewing this PSA? What were your emotions? I didn't have any emotions because I won't go through something like that and feel I should not have to worry about it.

What action do you feel you need to take after viewing this PSA? Nothing , because it's like the more information is given out about not having sex, it seems like people are more willingly to have sex more rather than listen to the messages and positive examples that are being set for them.

What is one specific change that would make this PSA more effective?
